Toronto, April 11, 2024 - TFO, the Franco-Ontarian public broadcaster, announces CEO Michelle Séguin will retire at the end of her mandate in February 2025.
Ms. Séguin joined TFO in June 2019, holding several strategic positions, before being named interim CEO in May 2021 and officially appointed in February 2022.
Ms. Séguin has made a considerable impact at TFO, notably by instilling a positive and caring organizational culture within the Franco-Ontarian public media and by building lasting and meaningful ties with Education stakeholders and partners within the Francophonie in Ontario and across Canada.

"More than ever, TFO's role is essential as a vehicle for identity-building for Francophone youth and our communities," she adds. "At TFO, we give people a taste for learning through original content that reflects who we are and brings us together. It fills me with pride to have had the privilege of contributing to such an important mission alongside a team brimming with talent and driven by a common passion: to inspire and transmit knowledge in French."
"With a long and successful career in the Ontario Public Service, Ms. Séguin has been able to securely position TFO within the community, and has instilled the necessary leadership to make TFO a media organization managed with rigour and authenticity - always keeping the public’s interest at the heart of its decisions," emphasizes Jean Lépine, Chairman of the Board of Directors.
